Convenient Access from Gladeville

From Gladeville Elementary School, most of the trip to Providence Dental Care runs on interstate, about 19 minutes and a little over 13 miles in all. That makes our office a practical choice for anyone who wants a dentist near Gladeville without driving into Nashville. We are at 684 N Mt Juliet Rd, Mt. Juliet, TN 37122, just north of I-40 at exit 226.

Leave the school at 8840 Stewarts Ferry Pike and head east on the Pike for about two-thirds of a mile to the I-840 ramp. Ride I-840 north for roughly a mile, take exit 72, and follow SR 109 north for about 4 miles to I-40. Go west on I-40 for a little over 5 miles, exit at 226 for Mt. Juliet, and turn right onto N Mt Juliet Rd. Our office comes up in about half a mile.

It sounds like a lot of roads, but each one is a main route, and there are only a handful of turns. Families who live on the west end of Stewarts Ferry Pike are closer to Rural Hill and may prefer heading west on the Pike and then north through Providence on S Mt Juliet Rd. Either way, our Google Maps listing will point you to the door.

A Dental Home for Gladeville Families

Locals call it The Glade, a nod to the cedar glades that grow in the thin, rocky soil of south Wilson County. The community was founded in 1852 on land owned by Benjamin Hooker Jr., and its post office opened a few years later. The small downtown still centers on the corner of Gladeville Road and Stewarts Ferry Pike, with shops and restaurants strung along the Pike.

The community's best-known neighbor is Nashville Superspeedway, a 1.33-mile concrete tri-oval on McCreary Road that opened in 2001. NASCAR Cup racing came to the track in 2021. Lebanon, the county seat, lies to the northeast, and Mt. Juliet sits about ten miles to the northwest.

Out here, a dental appointment is an outing, not a quick errand. We try to make each trip count. Exams, digital x-rays, fillings, crowns and extractions all happen in our office, so a problem found at a checkup can often be handled without sending you somewhere else.

Our doctors also believe in showing, not just telling. You see your x-rays and intraoral photos on the screen, hear the options in plain language, and decide without any pressure. Keeping natural teeth healthy for as long as possible is the goal behind nearly every recommendation we make.

Early hours help with the longer drive. We open at 7 AM Monday through Thursday, so you can be back on Stewarts Ferry Pike before the day really starts. On Fridays we are open from 8 AM to 2 PM.

What Gladeville Households Should Know About Their Dental Care

This is a small unincorporated community, and its schools are a big part of local life. Kids attend Gladeville Elementary, home of the Gators and a 2023-2024 Reward School, then Gladeville Middle and Wilson Central High. Youth sports run deep here too. The old community softball field now hosts youth teams, including the Diamond Dawgs travel baseball program.

Baseball can be rough on young teeth, from wild pitches to bad hops and collisions at the plate. A mouthguard lowers that risk, yet many young players skip one because store-bought guards feel bulky. A guard made from a scan of the player's own teeth is far more comfortable to wear for a full game.

Distance also changes how people think about dental pain. When the dentist is a longer drive away, it is tempting to wait out a toothache. Unfortunately, an infected tooth rarely settles down for good, and waiting can turn a simple filling into a root canal or an extraction.

The same goes for gums. Bleeding, swelling or bad breath that will not go away are early warning signs. Treating gum disease early keeps the bone around the teeth strong, which matters if an implant is ever needed later.

A little planning makes the drive easier. New patients receive their forms electronically before the first visit, and the comprehensive exam takes about an hour. Bringing a photo ID, your insurance card and any old x-rays means nothing has to wait for a second trip. A cleaning may be booked as its own visit, so ask our front desk if you want both on the same morning.

Care Options for Families Seeking a Dentist Near Gladeville

These services cover most of what patients from the southeast corner of the county need, so fewer trips are required.

  • Urgent Tooth Problems

Sudden pain, a broken tooth or a lost filling calls for Emergency Dentistry. Call us first, and for a dental emergency our team will do our best to fit you in the same day for a focused exam and x-rays.

  • Saving an Infected Tooth

Deep decay often reaches the nerve. Root Canal Therapy removes the infected pulp and seals the tooth, which is usually capped with a crown afterward. Our Restorative Dentistry team can often make that crown in-house with CEREC.

  • Routine Visits for Everyone

Preventive Dentistry covers cleanings, exams, fluoride, sealants and custom sports mouthguards. Booking the family back-to-back means one drive covers several checkups.

  • Replacing a Lost Tooth

When a tooth cannot be saved, Dental Implants rebuild both root and crown. CBCT 3D imaging and guided planning shape each case, and our team coordinates the steps from start to finish.

  • Healthier Gums

Our Periodontal Care includes deep cleanings and laser gum therapy aimed at bacteria and inflammation. Ongoing maintenance visits keep the problem from coming back.

Frequently Asked Questions

How far is Providence Dental Care from Gladeville, and how do I get there?

Our office is about 13.4 miles from Gladeville Elementary School, around a 19-minute drive. The usual route is Stewarts Ferry Pike to I-840, SR 109 north to I-40, then west to exit 226 and N Mt Juliet Rd. It is a straightforward trip for anyone who wants a dentist near Gladeville with a full range of services.

Can my whole Gladeville family be seen on the same morning?

Yes, in most cases we can line up back-to-back appointments for several family members. Booking ahead works best, especially for the 7 AM slots that let kids get to school afterward. Calling with everyone's names and insurance details helps our front desk build the schedule so a single drive covers the whole family.

Will my back tooth need a crown once the root canal is done?

Often, yes, especially for back teeth. A root canal removes the infected pulp, but it leaves the tooth more brittle, and a crown protects it from cracking under chewing pressure. With CEREC, many of those crowns can be designed and made in our office, so patients from farther out can skip an extra trip.

What can Gladeville patients do for a toothache before reaching the office?

Call us first, then rinse with warm salt water and floss gently to clear any trapped food. A cold compress on the cheek can ease swelling, and an over-the-counter pain reliever taken as directed may help. Avoid placing aspirin directly on the gums. For a dental emergency, we do our best to see you the same day.

Can a dental infection go away on its own?

No, a tooth infection does not heal by itself. Pain may fade for a while, but bacteria inside the tooth keep spreading and can damage the bone. Antibiotics can calm swelling, yet the source still has to be treated with a root canal or an extraction. Swelling in the face or fever needs prompt care.
